1. The luxurious Puerto Banus
Built in the 70’s by Jose Banus, the port was developed as a luxury marina and shopping complex, which now is well known to be one of the luxury capital of the Costa del Sol. Receiving over 5 million visitors annually, it plays host to some of the most well known international super stars and celebrities. Tip – when visiting the port, dress to impress!
2. Marbella’s historic Old Town
Marbella’s ancient old town remains intact and similar to its original design in the 16th century. The Plaza de los Naranjos is a great example of Castilian Renaissance design; you can sit in one of the plaza’s excellent restaurants, lazily dine whilst taking in the atmosphere – it’s truly divine.
3. Bonsai Museum
Marbella’s bonsai museum is truly one of the more unusual ones, but one well worth a visit! The miniature trees intricately design and maintained, provide a peaceful and inspiring visit. The museum itself houses one of the largest collections of bonsai trees in Europe.
4. Party in Style at Nikki Beach
Marbella’s Nikki Beach opened in 2006 and since has been a mark of the opening and close of Marbella’s summer party season. Those familiar with Nikki Beaches in other countries will be all too familiar with the wild yet elegant party atmosphere. If you’re in town and looking to party in style, there’s no other place to be!
5. Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!
Had plenty sun, beach and sand? Then it’s time to go shopping. Marbella is a very fashionable place and there are luxury brands here to please the most style-conscious of people. But the shopping here is not just for the wealthy; you can certainly find some fantastic deals at great prices.
6. Plan a day trip to Morocco
It’s unlikely that you will run out of things to do in Marbella, but if you do, then why not take a day trip to Morocco. Only 14km from Tarifa and known as the door to Africa, it could not be easier to visit and soak up the atmosphere and culture. There is much to see including Dar el Makhzen (the Sultan’s palace), the museum of Moroccan arts and antiquities, the Kasbah mosque (which was built in 1230) and much, much more.
7. Go for a hike
Marbella has some of the best hiking routes in the world, hosting some of the most spectacular and breath-taking views. There are many routes for all levels of experience and all easily accessible and well posted. For those looking for an adventure, why not try La Concha or El Torcal, or if you are looking for a more relaxing walk why not visit Refugio del Juanar or the beautiful village of Istan.

Just a short walk from the sea front in Estepona is the new botanical gardens. Inside you will find over 8,000 different species of plants. A visit here is guaranteed to be both fragrant and relaxing.
